I know. Stick with me here.
I’ve got ADHD. I was diagnosed as a kid.
The strangest thing about having a brain like mine? It’s not the vanishing thoughts or the inability to get through a single recipe unscathed. It’s how completely I can disappear into my own head.
I’m a creative person, a writer (if you haven’t put that together already). When I’m chasing after a story that’s begging to be told, almost nothing can pull me back out.
Not the arms that are shaking from the cold.
Not the legs that have gone numb from being folded up like a shopping mall pretzel for too long.
Not the stomach that’s growling.
